The 28th Annual Goodwill Swimming Championships concluded with a triumphant victory for Team Bahamas, and among the standout performances were two talented swimmers from our very own Lightning Aquatics Swim Club: Donald Saunders II and Ragh Cordova. The entire Lightning Aquatics family is beaming with pride as these young athletes showcased their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship on the international stage.
Ragh Cordova delivered an exceptional performance in the triathlon event, displaying remarkable endurance, speed, and versatility. His hard work and determination paid off as he excelled in each discipline, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed his performance. Ragh's success in the triathlon is a testament to his commitment to the sport and his ability to rise to the occasion when it matters most.
Donald Saunders II made waves in the pool, returning home with an impressive haul of 9 gold medals and 2 silver medals. His outstanding achievements didn’t stop there—Donald set five new swim records, solidifying his place as one of the top young swimmers in the region. His remarkable efforts earned him the prestigious title of top scorer in the 15-17 age category, a well-deserved recognition for his relentless pursuit of excellence.
